The Wisconsin Center for Nursing (WCN) is pleased to announce that nearly 100 nurses have received training scholarships for the Nurses Respond Now Priority Training.  Nurses working in acute, primary, community, long term care, public health and academic settings answered the call to help WCN create a nursing workforce better prepared to address the needs of at risk and vulnerable people, support public health initiatives, and ensure health equity during a public health emergency. Through WCN’s collaboration with the WI Department of Health Services through their Healthcare Emergency Resource Consortiums (HERC) frontline clinical nurses who have completed this training will now have a pathway for connecting at risk people with emergency response services and initiatives in their region when a public health emergency occurs. Thank You Nurses for becoming part of Wisconsin’s strengthened nursing workforce!
